The Amanda Foundation Mission Statement:
The Amanda Foundation's Mission is to rescue dogs and cats from death row at our city and county shelters and then find them loving forever homes. All our orphans are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before placement.
We also provide educational visits to schools and operate a free mobile spay/neuter program in low income neighborhoods. In addition, The Amanda Foundation is the only non-profit animal organization that runs a full service veterinary hospital offering low cost and pro bono service to low income families, veterans and disabled persons. Our goal is to rescue as many dogs and cats as possible, help people with veterinary care so they can retain their pets and reduce the number of dogs and cats in the shelters by lowering the number of unwanted litters through spay and neuter.
